1 9 9 4 Tungabhadra Machinery and Tools limited changed its name to TMT (India) Ltd.
A name that reflected the growth of the company & all the changes that had accopanied development. A growth that had began momentously almost twenty years back in 1976.

1 9 7 6  The paper industry in India was at the threshold of an imminent boom. Andpaper machinery was largely imported. There was an urgent need for indigenous technology.
